Key bindings & Stream Deck Field-tested
Right-click any trigger button → Assign key…, press the key (modifier chords like Ctrl+Shift+F13 count as distinct), done. Or Copy Stream Deck URL for the HTTP route.
- Bindable: everything that fires a trigger - scenes, presets, CAM cuts, ARM A/B/OFF, transport, and every Video Hub cut slot. Sliders, dropdowns and text fields are not bindable.
- Bindings fire application-wide (editor, PIE, packaged) but never while a text field has focus. One key = one trigger.
- Manage them under VSK Project ▸ Key bindings (per-row remove, Clear All). They persist and travel in show files.
The Stream Deck recipe
- In the Elgato app, map deck keys to the unused F13-F24 range (System ▸ Hotkey).
- In VSK, right-click the target button → Assign key… → press the deck key. Twelve physical buttons without leaving the editor.
- Alternative: paste a copied trigger URL into a Bitfocus Companion (or any HTTP-button) config instead.
Gamepad buttons are also captured in learn mode - a wireless pad works as a cheap cut bar.
